Production Supervisor
About the Role
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production operations, manpower management, batching activities, production planning, and ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and GMP standards. The role requires effective coordination with production teams to achieve production targets while maintaining efficiency, quality, and cost control.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Management
Supervise and monitor daily production activities to achieve planned production targets.
Ensure smooth execution of manufacturing processes as per approved SOPs and batch manufacturing records. Monitor machine utilization, productivity, and process efficiency.
Ensure adherence to production schedules and delivery timelines.
Batching Operations
Verify availability of raw materials before batching.
Supervise weighing, dispensing, and batching activities as per approved formulations.
Ensure proper documentation of Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR) and Batch Packing Records (BPR).
Monitor batch yields and minimize process losses.
Ensure compliance with GMP, hygiene, and quality standards during batching operations.
Manpower Management
Allocate manpower effectively across production lines and shifts.
Monitor attendance, discipline, and productivity of operators and workers.
Conduct on-the-job training for production staff.
Ensure proper shift handovers and communication among team members.
Maintain a positive and productive work environment.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain daily production reports and shift reports.
Track production efficiency, downtime, rejection, and wastage.
Prepare MIS reports related to production performance.
Ensure accurate production and manpower records.
